Tactical Communications Systems

Wideband Intercom and Secure Packet radio (WISPR)
WISPR is a digital programmable system, which introduces a new philosophy in intercommunication and control of external communications. It provides simultaneous full duplex Voice, Data and Control services. WISPR architecture requires no master unit, thus it significantly decreases the probability of complete system failure. All Crewmember Terminals, which come with integrated display and keyboard, are identical and interchangeable. Dynamic Noise Reduction for every Crewmember Terminal provides advanced Crew Safety. The innovative design of the WISPR Wireless LAN provides the system with novel embedded wireless applications for Vehicle & Personnel support. Remote Control of Radios is provided within the vehicle, using the Commander's Crewmember Terminal. Furthermore, Wireless Remote Control of Radios is provided via the WISPR Wireless LAN. Unique services, such as Closed Intercom Groups and Hierarchy Priority Plan are introduced by WISPR. Extensive interfacing capability permits a variety of connections, ranging from vehicle telephone to public telephone line or computer network.

WISPR NET NAVAL
The WISPR NET NAVAL is a new and innovative digital telecommunication system designed for battle ships, offering advanced intercommunication and control operations of the tactical communication subsystems. The system implements leading technologies that provide security, reliability, expandability and ease of upgrade. The system also can make up the communication basis for the materialization of a command, control communications computer and Intelligence system (C4I).

Tactical High Speed Communications Network
A new research program regarding the development of a pilot Tactical Communication Network for the high-speed data transfer has been initiated. This network is based on new technologies intended to cover today and future operational requirements of the Armed Forces.

Satellite Terminal Stations VSAT (CRONOS)
The VSAT stations, designed by INTRACOM DEFENSE ELECTRONICS, are part of the important activity of the company in the satellite applications field. INTRACOM DEFENSE ELECTRONICS has provided the Greek Ministry of Defense with two mobile satellite ground terminal stations VSAT in order to meet the communication needs of mobile headquarters, special contingencies and peacekeeping missions.

Radio Control Unit and Fill Gun Unit
INTRACOM DEFENSE ELECTRONICS has developed two new devices: the Radio Control Unit (RCU) and Fill Gun Unit. The RCU unit is used for the remote control of VHF and HF radios, manufactured by INTRACOM, either through a serial cable for a pair-gain line supported by a high-speed modem. The Fill Gun unit is a small portable device used for the transportation and loading of keys and other critical parameters of the VHF/HF radios, the SecLine cryptographic equipment and the WISPR system.

Cryptographic Equipment

INTRACOM DEFENSE ELECTRONICS has designed and developed the SecLine product line SecLine MBit, SecLine a-Plus and SecLine IP, which cover a wide range of encryption applications, including voice, fax, data, bulk encryption and IP data and is a result of the company's long experience in the field of secure communications.

SecLine MBIt
SecLine MBit is a mil-spec bulk encryption/decryption device, used in communication systems, suitable for operational demands of Military Forces. SecLine MBit meets the security needs of transmitted data in telephone network links and digital transmission systems in general. Whether these networks are wireless, cable or fiber optic their transmission is carried out with complete security, without allowing any intervention or interception of the transmitted data. The device operates in two ways: either as a Bulk Encryption Device encrypting any incoming information, or as a device encrypting specific channels of the information flow (E1 channels). SecLine MBit makes use of a certified non-linear encryption algorithm that offers high security during data transmission, while encryption keys are easy and flexible to use.

SecLine a-PLUS
SecLine a-PLUS is a state-of-the-art fax, voice and data digital encryption/decryption device. Its intended use is to cover the security demands for transmission of information through telephone network connections in a way that completely guarantees secure fax, voice and data transmissions. SecLine a-PLUS can be connected in between a common fax or a fax modem or a terminal PC or a telephone device and the telecommunication network (i.e. Public Telephone Company networks, PABX, etc.). It does not require any special features such as data ports and/or other interconnection units. All modern communication protocols are supported and it features automatic transition and re-establishment of communication speed according to the status of the telecommunication network for error free communication.

SecLine IP
SecLine IP, the new member of the SecLine Family, provides security in Ethernet IP networks. The device is used in the one edge of a Local Area Network providing security in all incoming / outgoing traffic. More specific, SecLine IP can be located between a switch/hub which gathers the LAN traffic and the gateway (router) which manages the traffic of the LAN to other networks. SecLine IP makes use of a certified non-linear encryption algorithm that offers high security during data transmission, while encryption keys are easy and flexible to use.

Missile Electronics

IRIS-T
The company has participated in the Full Scale Development Phase of the IRIS-T missile. In this program, the company has designed, tested, verified and integrated deliverable hardware for the Power Supply (PSU), Telemetry Section (TS) and Field test Equipment (FTE) of the IRIS-T Missile

Evolved Sea-Sparrow Missile (ESSM) Telemetry
As a member of the ESSM Industrial Consortium, the company participated in the Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the Warhead Compatible Telemetry (WCT) of the ESSM Missile. In this programme, the company performed all the design and development tasks and provided fully functional prototype hardware for the Power Supply Unit, the Analog Signal Conditioner, the Discrete Function Conditioner, the Randomiser Electronics and the Housing Assembly of the WCT.

Command, Control and Communication (C3I) Systems

Battle Management Systems (iBMS)
The Intelligent Battle Management System (iBMS) utilizes state-of-the-art technology to increase situation awareness in the battlefield. The system can be deployed in Tanks, Combat Armoured Vehicles, Reconnaissance Vehicles as well as Unit Command Stations. Its intended use is at the infantry armoured battalion level and below and supports unit commanders and staff, subunit commanders, platoon commanders, vehicle commanders and drivers. The system completely lies on the operational tactics and organization of the Greek Army.

Command and Control System for Naval Applications
