+++ Response letter to the Athens Exchange +++
In reply to the Athens Exchange's letter No 11723,
dated 15/03/2004, which refers to certain press reports, the Company notes
the following:
It has been common knowledge that lately and especially
since the beginning of last week, the Company has been the subject of
various rumors and press reports which connects it with the latest financial
and other developments. These press reports have undoubtedly influenced
the price of the Company's stock.
In light of the above, the Company wishes to assure
the Athens Exchange authorities and the investment community, that it
is the Company's policy, to officially announce to the proper authorities
(according to the Law) every important development regarding its activities.
Nevertheless, the Company does not wish to follow and comment on any rumors
and press reports, which come from unspecified sources. Should someone
wish to verify the credibility of these reports, the best source is the
reports' editors themselves.
