+++ INTRACOM: among the 100 European companies with the
best working environment +++
Following its distinction as one of the ten Greek companies
with the best working environment, INTRACOM was declared one of the 100
European companies offering optimal working conditions to their employees
in the Great Place to Work® competition. This honorary
distinction attests to INTRACOM's progressive human resources policy.
During the award ceremony held in Athens for the top
ten Greek companies, Mr. Michael Prountzos, INTRACOM's Human Resources
Manager, received the award on behalf of the company stressing:
"We are proud of this distinction. INTRACOM is
the largest high technology company in Greece and the South-eastern Europe
and one of the most robust private employers of the Greek economy. Today,
we employ more than 5,064 employees in Greece and 2,318 in more than 55
countries worldwide. We believe in cooperativeness and we invest in highly
trained and experienced executives. Every single employee of this Group
plays a part in our success. One proof of INTRACOM's vision for contributing
to the development and training of new technocrats in Greece, is the establishment
of AIT (Athens Institute of Technology) in cooperation with Carnegie Mellon
University, US, which offers a Masters of Science education, on Group
scholarships, to select postgraduate students.
Great Place to Work® is a globally renowned
competition. This year, INTRACOM joined it for the first time. The competition
was firstly conducted in the USA, while in the recent years, it has been
established in all European countries. Private and public companies of
the EU state-members can enter the competition.
