Company Profile

Founded in 1977, INTRACOM SA is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 1990 and included in the FTSE/ASE-40 index. In December 2005 INTRACOM was transformed to a holding company under the name INTRACOM HOLDINGS, being one of the largest multinational technology groups in South-Eastern Europe. The Group's major participations are: INTRACOM TELECOM (telecommunication systems and solutions), INTRACOM DEFENSE ELECTRONICS (defense electronics systems), INTRACOM IT SERVICES (IT solutions for the public sector, banking and enterprises), INTRAKAT (construction, high-tech installations, steel structures, infrastructure maintenance) and hellas online (Internet and voice services provider). INTRACOM HOLDINGS, as a group, has 5,800 employees, exports to 60 countries and operates subsidiaries/participations in 20 countries.

INTRACOM HOLDINGS, as a Group, employs 5,941 professionals, of which 60% are scientific staff; 2,000 of the total personnel work outside Greece. INTRACOM HOLDINGS Group is committed to attracting and advancing the top engineering and scientific talent in the region.


Financial Figures (IFRS)
In 2006, INTRACOM HOLDINGS consolidated revenue reached €524 million. New contracts of a total value of €691 million were signed. The Group's international activities accounted for 54% of its annual revenue.


International Recognition
IDC, a leading international market analysis firm, has, since 2000, consistently rankes INTRACOM as the leading information technology services provider in Greece, based on its turnover in this field.


Innovation & Knowledge
Technological innovation and R&D is a crucial ingredient in INTRACOM HOLDINGS Group's development strategy. INTRACOM HOLDINGS' participating companies maintain a strong commitment to innovation and R&D. Total investment in R&D amounts to 5%-7% of Group's annual revenues. The major participating companies operate several world-class R&D Labs, have registered a number of international patents, and cooperate with the most renowned companies in their fields, such as: Agilent, Alcatel, Atlas Electronik, BGT-DIEHL, Boeing, Cisco, Computer Associates, Comverse, Ericsson, Genesys, Hewlett Packard, IBM, KMW, LogicaCMG, Marconi, Motorola, Nortel Networks, Oracle, Raytheon, Rheinmetall Defense, SAP, Siemens, Sun Microsystems, Thales, and Zeiss Optronik among others.

In 2001, INTRACOM founded Athens Information Technology (AIT) (www.ait.edu.gr), a non-profit education and research centre, which, in cooperation with Carnegie Mellon University, offers postgraduate programs in Information Technology and Networking, and participates in international scientific research in ICT. AIT also offers two more academic postgraduate educational programs: MSITT (Master of Science in Information and Telecommunications Technologies) and MBIT (Master of Science in Business, Innovation and Technology). AIT is also a frequent host of executive education programs offered by Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government to students from Southeast Europe and Middle East. AIT's mission is to foster and promote scientific excellence, technology innovation and research inspiration.

AIT is a Strategic Partner of Carnegie Mellon University's CyLab, a comprehensive research and education centre aimed at developing new technologies for the enhancement of cyber security and promoting safe, responsible computing for home users and enterprises.


International Clientele
INTRACOM HOLDINGS's participating companies maintain an international customer base which consists of fixed and mobile telecom operators, corporate and private individual telecom services subscribers, public administration authorities and ministries , major financial institutions, large public and private enterprises and the majority of EU Institutions.

INTRACOM HOLDINGS' participating companies are distinguished for their record of delivering large-scale technology projects in relatively underserved country markets. Most of the projects are of high profile and significance, as well as of high standards and complexity. Through the integration of new technologies into modern business environments, the companies have managed to implement high-quality, cost-effective systems, a fact which is unreservedly acknowledged by their customers.
