+++ Workshop: Eco design and Recycling of Telecommunication
and IT equipment +++
The first workshop of "Integrated Product Policy
in the Telecommunication Sector (IPP-TEL)" project will take place
on March 17th 2006, 16:00 at Divani Palace Acropolis hotel. The workshop
aims at informing companies producing or providing telecommunication and
IT equipment and other interesting bodies about:
- Eco-design legislation about products consuming
energy; presentation of Life Cycle Assessment tool (LCA), case study on one Intracom's products.
- Progress made on telecommunication equipment recycling
in Greece; a case study will be presented by POLYECO.
The workshop is organized by POLYECO with the assistance
of INTRACOM TELECOM. Partners involved: INTRACOM TELECOM, EPTA Environmental Consultants Engineers,
POLYECO S.A, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki - Dpt of Mechanical
Engineering (LHTEE) - Dpt of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National
Technical University of Athens (NTUA) - School of Chemical Engineering,
POIOTIKI S.A, Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce.
