INTRACOM IT SERVICES utilizes internationally recognized software development methods and tools (e.g. IT methodologies, CASE tools, etc.) while also developing its own technology. The company closely follows international developments in all business and technology sectors (e-Europe, e-Health, etc.), adopting new international standards and practices.
Moreover, INTRACOM IT SERVICES plans to enter new advanced technology sectors that are related to its mainstream business activities.
PROFITS® Universal Banking System Road Map
The continuous provision of state-of-the-art Integrated IT Solutions covering the entire spectrum of financial organizations' needs and activities constitutes a strategic commitment of INTRACOM IT SERVICES, which systematically invests in the field over the last ten years. Continuously committing to the value-added improvement of our flagship product PROFITS® various enhancements were performed, adding enriched functionality in line with the latest trends in business practices and regulatory requirements of the financial services sector (i.e. IAS standards, etc).
More specifically, significant advancements were achieved in the overall real-time Customer Financial Position, Enterprise-wide Profitability and Customer Credit Limit Management offering dynamic usage and readjustments based on the type of transactions effected. In addition, the mechanisms for loan processing and fund transfers between loan and deposit accounts were expanded, using any possible combination of currency and account type.
Furthermore, based on the exploitation of new technologies PROFITS® subsystems were enriched with architectural innovations enabling "reduced time-to-market" through dynamic adaptation of transaction code (Parametric Transaction Rules) and transaction output (Parametric Vouchers), resulting in optimization of customization procedures. This innovative approach led to improved maintainability and expandability of the product.
A new method for dynamic design of user screens (Dynamic Windows) was also developed, adding substantial flexibility in cases where user interface adaptation is required.
Finally, using a special automated translation tool developed by INTRACOM IT SERVICES internally, we accomplished the automatic translation of PROFITS® user interface in any language via a uniform global vocabulary. This new capability allows immediate translation of the product according to the needs of foreign banks and/or subsidiary banks of large financial groups around the globe.
DCD - Dynamic Code Developer
The Banking Solutions Department of INTRACOM IT SERVICES has developed a unique suite of tools that allow non-technical business personnel to build and maintain the functionality of an information system. The tools allow the user to define business rules to a software application, that are specific to the enterprise's methods of conducting its operations,without the need of coding using a complicated programming language.
The tools allow for the dynamic set-up of User Interfaces, Validations, Application Logic, Messages, Reports and Advice Layouts. The systems resulting are multi-lingual from the same source code. A complete simulation component for automated system testing of business rules developed by the user is also provided.
During the design and development of our PROFITS® Integrated Banking Information System, the Dynamic Code Developer suite of tools, were used by INTRACOM IT Services.
Throughout the process of customization at various customer sites and for a wide range of requests, we experienced a drastic productivity improvement and a reduction of development cost through the use of the business rule development strategy.
A major benefit of the use of DCD is that since the specific Customers requirements are implemented through business rules and hence "separated" from the Core functionality, the System itself remains in a single version at all sites which results in greater maintainability.
Applications that are developed using this "Rules Language Method" closely resemble the way people think. Therefore, more people in the organization from different departments can have an impact and an understanding of the organizations information system, which is extremely important in enterprises such as a banking institution.
